Does your community have trails that need some professional maintenance?
Maybe a new trail area that needs planning work?
What about a new trail the team hasn’t gotten around to building yet?
Rock Solid and Lake Superior Gravity Series are teaming up to give you a chance to win $50,000 worth of services for your trail system!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Anyone who is participating in the LSGS Series is able to submit a proposal. More detailed examples below.
The Rock Solid team will help vet the projects and work with the submitters to get a dialed proposal finalized.
Rock Solid and LSGS will narrow down the proposals to our top 5 options.
After the season is over, anyone who earns a spot on a LSGS overall podium will be able to vote on the winner!
The winner will then be announced through a live online/in person event(s)!!
EXAMPLES OF PROJECT IDEAS
PLANNING
Have Rock Solid come out and assess an area, create a concept and end up with a shovel ready design.
Perfect for getting bids or applying for other grants.
TRAIL MAINTENANCE
Have a Rock Solid crew come out and help maintain some of your local trails.
This could include up to 2-3 weeks of a 3 person crew and one machine!
Rock Solid could host a community learning day during this time, educating local volunteers on trail maintenance techniques.
NEW TRAIL
If you already have a shovel ready project, Rock Solid could send a 3 person crew for up to 3 weeks to work on your project!
TRAIL FEATURES
Rock Solid could help build and install a new trail feature.
This could be almost anything, from bridges, jumps, trail signage, etc.
VOTING
Voting will occur via a survey sent out to those that end up on the overall podiums for the Lake Superior Gravity Series.
And yes, ALL of the podiums! From Sport Enduro to the top step of the Downhill, everyone gets to vote!
Votes will be weighted depending on where you finished in the series.
1st place vote is worth 5 votes
2nd place vote is worth 3 votes
3rd place vote is worth 1 vote
